What’s your favourite thing about the coast?

“All the rocks. I LOVE throwing rocks in the ocean!” 

     ~ E., 5 years old today.

“When a 5-year-old asks you for a parade for his birthday party, well, that’s just what you do.”

[Imagine, in parting, the sound of the A-B-Cs being sung as the parade drifts off down the causeway. Sung, as requested by the birthday boy, by a dozen of his adult friends from around the neighbourhood, adorned in costumes and waving handmade flags, one bearing his name, another his age. And a chicken mask.]
